Napa · Napa Valley
A small estate on the Silverado Trail north of Napa, pouring its own estate-grown wines at private tastings by appointment, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
OnTrail Vineyards (the winery writes it ONTRAIL) is a small family of estate wines made on the Silverado Trail, a few minutes north of downtown Napa. The winery says every bottle is 100% estate grown, from its Ozegna and ONTRAIL vineyards in the Oak Knoll District and the Napa Valley, and that each vintage is made in small lots.
The lineup is short and focused: Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, a red blend the winery calls its Proprietal Blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The name is meant to suggest a journey, and the winery describes wine as part of it, a way to mark a place, people and moments that stay with you.
There is no walk-in tasting room. Visits are private tastings by reservation, which the winery describes as relaxed and intimate, built to show off the vineyard, the wines and the setting along the Trail. It sits next to several of the Trail's family wineries, so it pairs easily with a full day nearby. We confirm current details when we book.
OnTrail does not publish its tasting fee. The fee is confirmed when we book the private tasting.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
