About the Winery

Guiseppe and Maria Navone bought the family ranch in 1914 and started a grape-growing tradition that has lasted more than a hundred years. The family says it is rare in Napa Valley to find a local family still farming the same place for four generations. Andy and Celeste Navone run Navone Family Wines today from St. Helena.

In 1979 Ernie Navone, of the family's next generation, first planted Cabernet Sauvignon on the ranch, and for years the vineyard's grapes went to local wineries. The family now bottles a small amount under its own Navone label, released as limited-edition vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon, from 2017 through 2022 on the current list.

The wines are sold through the winery's website, with a discount on full cases, and the family keeps a mailing list for news of new vintages, pourings and wine events. There is no tasting room and the ranch does not receive visitors. The day below visits three sought-after estates nearby that do, on Howell Mountain and in Oakville.

Tasting Fees

Navone Family Wines does not offer tastings.
