About the Winery

The Hernández family's Napa story began when Jorge Sr. proposed to Ana overlooking a vineyard. The family came back in the summer of 2010 and stayed, and in 2020 they turned a water production facility and the winery beside it, on the Silverado Trail at the edge of Calistoga, into Museion. Siblings Jorge Jr. and Marcela Hernández run it today, carrying on their parents' plan.

Museion means "temple of the Muses," and the idea is wine with art, culture and history. Each wine is named for one of the nine Greek Muses: Clio Sauvignon Blanc, Terpsichore rosé, Polyhymnia Charbono and Erato, a vermouth called Vermuse. The building is also a state-of-the-art custom crush winery for established and up-and-coming winemakers.

Visits are booked on Tock. The Amuse Me tasting pours Museion wines alongside the family's Ezeta label and wines from its custom crush clients, for parties of 1 to 6, so it is a rare look at several small producers under one roof in the Calistoga AVA. It makes an easy, relaxed first stop of the day.

Tasting Fees

$65 for the Amuse Me tasting of Museion, Ezeta and custom crush client wines. The length is not published; we allow about an hour.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
