About the Winery

Loveland Lee is a family farm and winery that has grown grapes since 2006 on a steep, rocky vineyard above Lake Hennessey, east of St. Helena on Pritchard Hill. The land borders a Pritchard Hill vineyard on one side and an oak chaparral nature reserve on the other, at about 800 feet above the valley floor. The label shows the constellation Boötes, which farmers once used to guide the harvest.

Each year the family makes a single estate Cabernet Sauvignon, farmed for low yields. The 2018 premiere vintage, from French and California Cabernet clones with a splash of Petit Verdot, was 40 cases; the 2019 was 70 cases and the 2020 was 50. The 2021 was aging in French oak when the winery last updated its site. Soils are mostly stony and shallow, scattered with volcanic boulders.

There is no tasting room and no visit program. To buy the wine, contact the family through the form on lovelandlee.com, by email or by phone. The day below stays on the east side of the valley, with a Pritchard Hill estate, a cave tour in Conn Valley and a garden winery on the Silverado Trail.

Tasting Fees

Loveland Lee does not offer tastings.

The day below runs about $300 per person in tasting fees at David Arthur, Seavey and Rombauer.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
