About the Winery

Mark and Kimberly Scott fell for the property on the eastern ridge of Napa Valley, above the Silverado Country Club, and made it their home. Its vineyard block was planted by viticulturist Sal Renteria with Mike Moone, the former Beringer president who founded Luna Vineyards and Moone-Tsai, and the Scotts now carry on its tradition of estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vines sit in volcanic soil about 380 feet above the valley floor, next to Milliken Canyon and just below the Atlas Peak AVA, with warm days and cool nights. Winemaker Shawna Miller has made the wine since the first vintage in 2011. The fruit is picked in October, fermented for about three weeks with punch-downs by hand and aged in 80% new oak. A Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc joined the 2021 estate Cabernet.

Kamber Cellars sells by phone, email and its wine club, which ships six bottles twice a year and invites members to release parties at the estate, such as the 2024 blending party where members voted on the final blend. There are no public tastings, so it does not receive visitors. The day below visits three nearby estates on the southeast side of the valley that do.

Tasting Fees

Kamber Cellars does not offer tastings.
