Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards began with a 2015 visit. Michael Kennedy, then wine director and sommelier at Chef Eric Ripert's Blue at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, spent an afternoon at Bryant Family Vineyard on Pritchard Hill with its winemaker, Marc Gagnon. The two became friends, and in 2018, when Gagnon left Bryant, they decided to make wine together.
Their idea is to explain the terroir and history of Napa Valley through historic vineyards, each planted before the 20th century: Beckstoffer Georges III in Rutherford (1895), Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper (1877) and the Old Federal Vineyard (1881) in Oakville, the Samuel Brannan Vineyard in Calistoga (1862), and Monte Rosso on Moon Mountain in Sonoma (1886). The wines are mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a Monte Rosso Zinfandel, with the single-vineyard bottlings released to the allocation list.
Gagnon-Kennedy is part of the Fraîche Wine Group, and tastings are arranged with the group's hospitality team, who also host its sister label, Component Wine Company. It suits guests who want to taste rare, small-lot Cabernet with the story of each site. We confirm current details when we book.
Tastings are arranged by request. The winery does not publish a fee, so it is confirmed when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
