About the Winery

Anthony and Michelle Faustini, both from careers in high tech, started their first Cabernet project in the summer of 2005 with fruit from the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena. Anthony is the founder and chief blender; Michelle, a longtime collector who led sales for the Americas at a tech company, took the helm of the family winery in 2017. They travel between coasts to stay close to the work.

Winemaker Kian Tavakoli, who worked at Opus One and Clos du Val, makes the wines with a vineyard focus. The family sources Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Beckstoffer vineyards, adds fruit from Atlas Peak, Howell Mountain and Coombsville, and owns a Sauvignon Blanc vineyard in Rutherford that becomes its Beach House #34. Single-vineyard bottlings include a Haynes Vineyard Chardonnay.

There is no estate to visit. The family pours at its Tasting Salon at POST within Carneros Resort, in the Los Carneros AVA at the southern end of Napa Valley. The grounds have outdoor seating, fireplaces and bocce courts, and food can come from the resort's market or FARM restaurant. It is a relaxed hour, and an easy stop for guests staying at the resort.

Tasting Fees

$45 to $65 per person for a tasting of a selection of Faustini wines, about 60 minutes.
