Castellucci Napa Valley is run by siblings Maria and Marco Castellucci, whose grandfather Luigi made wine in his basement in Italy. Their father began buying Napa Valley vineyards about 20 years ago, and for years the family sold grapes to other wineries. In 2012 they began bottling some of their own. Maria leads the business from St. Helena, Marco manages the vineyards, and the winemaker is Jac Cole, who led winemaking at Spring Mountain Vineyard from 2003 to 2012 and earlier worked at Charles Krug and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.
The family farms about 50 acres. The top site is a steep, terraced vineyard at the top of Spring Mountain, once called Fern Rock Vineyard, with vines planted in 1993. There is also a valley floor vineyard in Rutherford between the Silverado Trail and Zinfandel Lane, and a Merlot block beside the family home in St. Helena. Current wines include the 2018 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2014 St. Helena Merlot.
There is no tasting room. The winery's site mentions tastings but gives no place, fee or booking route, and the Napa Wine Project lists it as private with no appointments. Wines are sold online and through the Castellucci Club. The day below includes Spring Mountain Vineyard, where Jac Cole made wine for a decade, and ends in Rutherford, near the family's vineyard there.
Castellucci does not offer public tastings. On the day below, fees run $50 at Keenan, $95 at Spring Mountain Vineyard and $40 at Honig, paid to each winery.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Since Castellucci does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Both hotels are on Main Street in St. Helena, about 20 minutes from the first stop up Spring Mountain Road. The day runs about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 20 minutes away. A family estate built around a 1904 stone winery high on Spring Mountain. The estate tasting of current release and reserve wines is $50, about 75 minutes. By appointment.
About 10 minutes away. The historic 845-acre estate where Castellucci's winemaker Jac Cole made wine from 2003 to 2012, home of the Miravalle mansion. The Vista or Judgment of Paris experience is $95, about 90 minutes. By reservation only.
About 20 minutes away. Lunch at Rutherford Grill on Highway 29, known for its wood-fired rotisserie. We confirm lunch hours when we book. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 5 minutes away. A family-run, solar-powered Rutherford winery a short drive from the Castellucci vineyard between the Silverado Trail and Zinfandel Lane. The seated Terrace Tasting is $40. Open daily until 4 p.m., by appointment.
Back by about 4:15 p.m.
About $185 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
Spring Mountain Road is narrow and winding, so we keep the two mountain stops back to back. Honig closes at 4 p.m.
