Daniel Martinez and his wife, Luz, made their first small batch of family wine in 2013, the year they were expecting their first child. Their daughter, Camila, arrived weeks early after complications at birth, and that first wine took on a new meaning. Camila Pinot Noir became the family's flagship and, in their words, a symbol of resilience and love, made to be shared at the table.
Daniel started in the vineyards of Kathryn Hall Vineyards and in 2006 joined Robert Mondavi Winery, where he spent seven years working every step from crush pad to the Reserve aging rooms. He has since worked with small producers across Napa and Sonoma and holds a winemaking degree from Napa Valley College. Casa Martinez makes Camila Pinot Noir from Los Carneros, Bonitas Chenin Blanc and rosé, and Oveja Negra, a Syrah and Cabernet blend.
Visits are small private tastings by appointment in the family's tasting space on Enterprise Way in south Napa, for groups of six or fewer. The Private Tasting pours four current releases with conversation about wine, family and culture, and the Camila Vertical lines up four vintages of the flagship side by side. A charcuterie board can be added. It feels more like a visit with a family than a tasting room.
$50 for the Private Tasting of four current releases and $65 for the Camila Pinot Noir Vertical Tasting (minimum four guests), each about 90 minutes.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
