About the Winery

Joe Wagner created Belle Glos in 2001 and named it for his grandmother, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, who co-founded Caymus Vineyards in 1972 with Charlie Wagner Sr. and Chuck Wagner, Joe's grandfather and father. A fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker, Joe worked alongside his father at Caymus before going out on his own, and he remains Belle Glos's owner and winemaker.

Belle Glos is built on single-vineyard Pinot Noir from California's coast: Clark & Telephone in the Santa Maria Valley, planted on its own roots in 1972, Las Alturas in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Dairyman in the Russian River Valley, Taylor Lane less than six miles from the Pacific, and Eulenloch in Napa's own Carneros. There is now a Chardonnay and a sparkling Blanc de Blancs too.

There is no Belle Glos vineyard to visit in Napa. The wines pour at Quilt & Co., Joe Wagner's tasting room on Main Street in downtown Napa, alongside his other labels such as Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon. You can sit indoors, at sidewalk tables or on the rooftop patio, with dishes from a seasonal à la carte menu, and fans can ask about the VIP Belle Glos Waxing experience.

Tasting Fees

$55 for the Quilt & Co. Tasting, a custom flight of Joe Wagner's wines, including Belle Glos. The VIP Belle Glos Waxing experience is priced when you reserve.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
