Small-lot Napa Cabernets by French-born winemaker Julien Fayard, poured at the Maison Fayard tasting studio in downtown Napa, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Beau Vigne makes small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon under Julien Fayard, its head of winemaking, whom the winery calls one of Napa Valley's most respected winemakers. Julien began with rosé at his family's winery in Provence, worked at Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte in Bordeaux, and moved to Napa Valley in 2006, where he has spent two decades building wine brands.
The approach in the cellar is restrained: California varietals made with French finesse, letting each harvest speak for itself. The wines come in three series, Signature, Legacy and Discovery, mostly red with a few whites. New vintages, limited runs and special bottles go first to the allocation list, so the tasting room is often the easiest place to try the full range.
There is no estate to visit. Beau Vigne pours at the Maison Fayard tasting studio at 1408 Second Street, in the heart of downtown Napa, a room that celebrates Julien's winemaking. Reservations are not required but are encouraged, and the studio opens at 10 a.m. every day, which makes it one of the few downtown rooms that works as a first stop of the morning.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. Beau Vigne does not publish its tasting prices.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
