About the Winery

Jim Borsack and Duffy Keys met in 2002, when both executives were exploring new career paths, and founded B Cellars in 2003 to make food-centric wines and lead in wine and food pairing. Winemaker Kirk Venge, the son of Napa winemaker Nils Venge, makes the wines. In 2014 the winery opened its estate on Oakville Cross Road.

B Cellars was built on blending and on wine made for the table. It makes more than 40 wines from as many as eight Napa Valley AVAs and three in Sonoma County. Every vintage since 2003 it has made a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from each of Andy Beckstoffer's six Heritage Vineyards, including To Kalon, Georges III and Missouri Hopper, and it is one of the few Napa wineries to do so.

The estate sits in the Oakville AVA, with vineyards, gardens, stone fruit orchards, olive trees, a hen house and more than 15,000 square feet of caves. Tastings center on the Hospitality House and its open-hearth kitchen, where the chef prepares small pairing plates called B Bites, mostly from ingredients grown on the property. A wine guide leads each visit.

Tasting Fees

$100 for the Vineyard Flight, four wines with local cheeses, 60 minutes (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). $150 for the Oakville Trek, a garden, estate and cave tour followed by five wines paired with B Bites, 90 minutes (Thursday to Monday). The Élevage (90 minutes) and The Assemblage for groups of 7 to 12 (90 minutes) are booked through the concierge, with prices on request.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
