About the Winery

Art+Farm is the wine company of Kat and Rob McDonald. After time in Western Australia, they came back to the United States and founded Old Bridge Cellars to import Australian wines, then planted vineyards in both Australia and Napa Valley. In 2008 they started Art+Farm as a home for their single-vineyard wines, their blends and Circadia.

The Messenger is built on blending vintages, vineyards and varieties, and its 2018 Oakville Cabernet was No. 30 on Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2022. Current releases include Circadia's 2023 Napa Valley and Oakville Cabernets, The Messenger's 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet and 11*14 Cabernets from Coombsville and Rutherford. St. Mayhem goes further, with co-fermented wines in bottles and cans, one made with Andy Erickson.

Art+Farm sells through its online shop and wine club and publishes no tasting room or visiting program, so it does not receive visitors. The day below matches its spirit with three small, personal visits: a private tasting in downtown Napa, a family estate in the hills east of the city, and a late-afternoon tasting out in a working vineyard.

Tasting Fees

Art+Farm does not offer tastings.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

A Suggested Six-Hour Day

Pickup at 10:00 a.m. from a nearby hotel such as Milliken Creek Inn or The Meritage Resort.

10:00 · Pickup at Milliken Creek Inn or The Meritage Resort

Since Art+Farm does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Milliken Creek Inn, on the Napa River, and The Meritage Resort, at the south end of the city, are about 5 to 10 minutes from the first stop downtown. The day runs about six and a half hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.

10:15 · Tobias Vineyards

About 10 minutes away. Howell Mountain Cabernet from Toby and Dawn Forman's hand-farmed estate, poured at a private Estate Experience in downtown Napa. $200 per couple, waived with the purchase of six bottles; the length is not published, and we allow about an hour. By request through the winery; we arrange it on your behalf.

11:30 · The Vice

About 12 minutes away. A family label pouring single-vineyard, single-variety wines from 15 Napa Valley sub-regions at a private estate tasting in the hills east of the city of Napa. The Vice Estate Experience is $145, prepaid; we allow about 90 minutes. By appointment, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

1:15 · Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni

About 15 minutes away. Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni, an Italian restaurant among the vineyards on Howard Lane, a valley favorite for more than 30 years, open daily from 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

2:45 · Chris Corley Wines

About 15 minutes away; the vineyard is confirmed with the booking. A private late-afternoon tasting in the middle of a working vineyard, poured by second-generation Napa winemaker Chris Corley. $75 with current and library releases and light seasonal bites; we allow about 90 minutes. Seatings are very limited and by reservation; the vineyard location is confirmed with the booking.

4:15 · Back to your hotel

Back by about 4:35 p.m., about six and a half hours after pickup.

About $320 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries (Tobias is $200 per couple), paid directly to each winery.

Tobias sets private times by request, The Vice hosts Tuesday to Saturday, and Chris Corley's seatings are very limited, so we confirm all three before the day is set. The day runs about six and a half hours; extra time is billed by the hour. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.

Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
