Robin and Michelle Baggett founded Alpha Omega in 2006, and the winery is still family owned. Robin began his wine career as a grape grower in 1988 and founded Tolosa Winery in the Edna Valley of San Luis Obispo in 1998. The Napa estate sits on Highway 29 at Mee Lane in the Rutherford AVA, and it is a certified Napa Green winery.
Alpha Omega describes its approach as Old World grape growing and handcrafted winemaking paired with modern technology. Along with its estate wines, it makes Cabernet Sauvignon from well-known vineyards such as Beckstoffer To Kalon, Georges III and Dr. Crane. Melissa Paris was promoted to winemaker in July 2024, the first woman winemaker at Alpha Omega, and Andy Erickson is the consulting winemaker.
Guests taste at the indoor bar or on one of two terraces that look out over the estate fountains, the vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains. The flight is chosen on arrival, from Signature Selections to Single Vineyards, and the tasting runs about 90 minutes. The winery is open daily, takes walk-ins when there is room, and welcomes supervised children and leashed dogs.
$75 for the Signature Selections flight, $100 for Curated Selections and $125 for Single Vineyards, each about 90 minutes indoors or on the terrace. $200 for a Private Tasting and $300 for the ERA Library Private Tasting, each two hours.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
