About the Winery

Kashy Khaledi, who worked in music and advertising before wine, founded Ashes & Diamonds and made its first wines in 2014. The tasting room on Highway 29 opened in October 2017. The winery takes its cue from Napa Valley in the 1960s, when the valley was first emerging as a world-class wine region.

Architect Barbara Bestor designed the buildings in a mid-century modern style, with a zig-zag roof and portholes. The winemaking team includes Steve Matthiasson and Diana Snowden Seysses, with Michael Cruse on sparkling wine, and the house style is light-handed winemaking, lower alcohol and a clear sense of place. The estate is in the Oak Knoll District.

Every visit is a guided, prepaid tasting, from a three-wine introduction to a seasonal food pairing. The doors open at 11 a.m. and the last reservation is at 5 p.m., later than most Napa wineries, so this is a good first stop for a late-morning start.

Tasting Fees

$55 for the A&D Teaser (three wines, 45 to 60 minutes) and $70 for A&D Wines (four wines, 60 to 75 minutes). $85 for A&D Wines + Cheese and $105 for Rare Wines & Provisions (75 to 90 minutes). $195 for A&D Wines + Food, 75 to 90 minutes.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
