Spring Mountain District · Napa Valley
A new estate on Spring Mountain's old Beringer Los Hermanos vineyard, where stone terraces and vines survived the 2020 Glass Fire, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Two dentists, Drs. Justin Moody and Kristine Aadland, bought these 17 acres on Spring Mountain in 2022. Moody, a fifth-generation Nebraska farmer, once helped found a winery back in Nebraska, and Aadland grew up the daughter of bridge builders in Washington. The estate was first called Titanium, a nod to dental implants and to the year they bought the land: titanium's atomic number is 22.
The land has deep roots. Charles and Olga Beringer planted the first vineyards here in the 1930s as part of the Beringer Brothers Los Hermanos holdings, and old stone terraces still line the rows. The 7 acres were replanted in 2002, mostly to Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines survived the 2020 Glass Fire, though the winery and house did not. Veteran Napa winemaker Bob Pepi makes the wine.
This is a winery being reborn. A new home, tasting room and cave are being built in the Spring Mountain District, and the experience page still lists tastings as coming soon, but the estate takes appointment requests through its website. We send the request for you and plan about an hour; the winery confirms the format. Guests who like seeing a project early will enjoy it.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

About 20 minutes away. A family estate on the steep lower slopes of Howell Mountain, across the valley from Spring Mountain, home of the Cabernet Franc blend the family calls Liquid Cashmere. The Estate Tasting Experience is $100: a guided walk of the hillside property, then three estate-grown red blends with a view over the valley. We allow about 75 minutes. By appointment, Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a $50 per person deposit.
About 12 minutes away. Lunch at Market, an American restaurant in a historic brick and stone building on Main Street in St. Helena, open for lunch Monday to Saturday from noon. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 25 minutes north. A small family winery and cave on a hillside ranch above Calistoga, known for aged mountain Cabernet; the owner leads the tour of the property, winery and cave. The Current Release Tasting is $100 with cheese and charcuterie, 1.5 to 2 hours. By appointment, Monday to Saturday at 10:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.
Back between about 4:30 and 5:00 p.m., depending on how long the cave tour runs.
About $200 per person in tasting fees for Viader and Tom Eddy, paid directly to each winery, plus Aadland-Moody's fee, confirmed with the appointment.
Viader hosts Thursday to Saturday, and Market and Tom Eddy are closed Sundays, so this day works Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Aadland-Moody sets its appointment time, and we adjust the day around it. Back between about 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.
