About the Property

Seven Branches Venue and Inn is a wedding and event venue with six guest suites on West Spain Street, a short walk from Sonoma Plaza. Its rammed-earth walls, balconies and sunny courtyard recall old Sonoma's Spanish heritage.

Each suite has a king or two queen beds and a private bath with a walk-in shower, and several have private balconies. Coffee is set out each morning in the upstairs kitchen, and fresh pastries are delivered to your room daily. Spa treatments are available at the sister property, Calm Spa.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. WALT Wines, Auteur Wines and Patz & Hall are all within about 5 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 29 miles, 50 minutes. The closest airport to Seven Branches, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 58 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 59 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 73 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 5 minutes away. Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from a Sonoma winery founded in 1953. The Hanzell Heritage Tour & Tasting is $90, about 90 minutes. By appointment only, Monday to Friday; closed to visitors in August and early September.

About 15 minutes away. A tavern and beer garden on Broadway, a few blocks from Sonoma Plaza, open daily from 11 or 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 5 minutes away. Family estate wines on Rhinefarm since 1858. The seated Rhinefarm Tasting is $45. Reservations encouraged, especially Friday to Sunday.

About 10 minutes away. California wine history since 1857, with tastings in the Press House. The seated Current Release Tasting is $40. Tastings and tours are booked online.

Adds about an hour. Estate wines on a historic Sonoma property with vineyards dating to the 1830s. The seated Wine Tasting Flight is $45 to $55. Reservations recommended.
