About the Property

Hotel E is a 39-room boutique hotel on Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. It is housed in the Empire Building, the former Bank of Italy with its landmark clock tower, and opened as Hotel E in 2019 after a renovation. Premium King rooms overlook the square.

The Enology Lounge wine bar has a happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., and a continental breakfast is included. Up to two dogs are welcome with a cleaning fee.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Bob Cabral Wines, Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens and Paradise Ridge Winery are all within about 15 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 8 miles, 15 minutes. The closest airport to Hotel E, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 68 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 68 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 99 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
