Trombetta Family Wines is a mother-and-daughter winery. Rickey Trombetta, who grew up in Sonoma County, began making wine at home with her husband Roger Stancliff in the mid-1980s and later built the event and hospitality program for Paul Hobbs. Their daughter Erica Stancliff joined as winemaker in 2014. In 2017 Rickey, Erica and other local growers helped establish the Petaluma Gap AVA, and both have served as president of the Petaluma Gap Winegrowers Alliance.
The wines are cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a few vineyards: Gap's Crown, 138 acres in the Petaluma Gap; Petersen Vineyard, where the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast meet; Four Brothers, on a mountain ridge; and Indindoli Family Vineyards in the Vine Hill area.
Tastings are winemaker-led and hosted by the family, with a look behind the scenes at the wines, and are scheduled ahead by email or phone. It is a personal visit with a small producer, and it fits well with the Pinot Noir houses of the western Russian River Valley. We confirm current details when we book.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. The winery does not publish a tasting fee, so we confirm it when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
