Selin Cellars is the label of winemaker Peter Selin, who moved to Sonoma County after a career in technology and established the winery in 2019. Friendship with winemaker Chris Taddei and his family drew him here, and he collaborates with Taddei on some varieties while concentrating on less common ones himself.
All of Selin's fruit is sourced in Sonoma County. The first contract was with Puccioni Ranch in Dry Creek Valley, and the winery also works with Burnett Vineyard and Jenks Vineyard. The style is big, bold and velvety, with bottlings such as a Fountaingrove Cabernet Franc and an Alicante Bouschet. The 2022 Cabernet Franc, also called "The Gov'ner," won best in class at the San Francisco Chronicle competition, and a small lot of Malbec honors friends from London.
There is no tasting room. Peter Selin offers in-person tastings by coming to you, or at one of the local restaurants that pour his wines, but Selin Cellars does not receive visitors. Wines are sold online through Vinoshipper and through a mailing list, a Case Club and a Founders Club. The day below visits Windsor and Dry Creek Valley, home of Puccioni Ranch.
Selin Cellars does not offer tastings.
The day below visits Martinelli ($50), Quivira ($35) and Ferrari-Carano (from $40), about $125 per person in tasting fees.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
