Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
RAEN is the Pinot Noir domaine Carlo and Dante Mondavi founded in 2013. The brothers are fourth-generation winegrowers, and they call themselves winegrowers rather than winemakers; Melanie McIntyre is the winemaker. The winery focuses on the coastal hills of Sonoma, a region it describes as having a diversity of soil, elevation and climate.
The wines are aromatic, elegant Pinot Noir, with some Chardonnay, from coastal sites the winery considers grand cru quality. Fermentations are whole cluster with native yeasts, and the wines age 10 to 18 months in neutral French oak depending on the vintage. Most bottles go to the mailing list and the RAEN Society allocation.
There is no public tasting room. Tastings are arranged by request through the winery's hospitality team, which confirms the time and place. For Pinot Noir lovers it is a rare chance to taste these wines with the people who make them. We confirm current details when we book.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. RAEN does not publish a tasting fee. We confirm the current price when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
