Russian River Valley · Sonoma County
A family winery founded in 1978, now pouring its single-estate and small-lot Etta wines in its first tasting room off the Healdsburg Plaza, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Marietta Cellars was founded in 1978 by Chris Bilbro, who named it for his favorite aunt and built a following for affordable, well-made reds. In 2012 his sons Scot and Jake bought the winery, and today Scot Bilbro is the sole owner and winemaker. The family farms about 200 acres of vineyards in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
After 47 years, the winery opened its first tasting room in late October 2025 at 250 Center Street, just off the Healdsburg Plaza, in a building that once held the town's police station. Scot's wife, architectural designer Lisa Steinkamp, designed the bright space, with a velvet banquette, marble-topped tables, bar seats and a patio, and her watercolors appear on the labels.
The room is about the smaller-production wines, not the famous Old Vine Red. One flight pours single-estate wines from Marietta's vineyards in places like Alexander Valley, Yorkville Highlands and McDowell Valley. The other is the Etta series, four small-lot wines named for colors, such as Gris, Alabaster, Rosewood and Carmine. We confirm current details when we book.
$35 per person for either flight: the single-estate wines or the small-lot Etta series, paid at the time of the tasting. Wine club members taste free. We confirm the current price when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
