Marchelle Wines was founded in 2021 by longtime friends Greg and Mara La Follette and Kevin Lee and Michelle Wong; the name blends Mara and Michelle. Head winemaker Greg La Follette was mentored by André Tchelistcheff at Beaulieu Vineyards and was the founding winemaker at Flowers. He works alongside winemaker Evan Damiano.
The wines celebrate historic vineyards and the families who farm them: cool-climate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Pinot Noir from Harmony Lane, the Lees' small estate vineyard near Occidental, and old-vine Carignane, Zinfandel, Cinsaut and Grenache. The best-seller is French Colombard from the Betty Ann Vineyard, planted in 1902, a grape the winery has helped bring back to serious attention.
After five years of by-appointment tastings, Marchelle opened its first tasting room at 34 North Street, a block from the Healdsburg plaza. Guests can drop in for a complimentary taste of two wines or reserve a seated flight, and the room has a private reserve room for small groups. We confirm current details when we book.
Complimentary Introductory Tasting of two wines, no reservation needed. $40 per person for the Signature Tasting of old-vine and appellation wines. $100 per person for the winemaker-led Reserve Tasting of single-vineyard wines. We confirm the current price when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
