About the Winery

George Wine Company is a small, family-owned producer of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir that has made small-run wines for more than twenty years. It was founded by George Levkoff, who left bond trading to make wine in Sonoma County and interned at Williams Selyem; his first releases were 2003 Pinot Noirs, according to the Prince of Pinot. The winery's license is at the address of Moshin Vineyards on Westside Road.

The approach is deliberately gentle: handpicked grapes, free-run juice, aging in tight-grained French oak and gravity flow in place of pumps. George makes about 1,000 cases a year. The 2025 release is five small-lot wines, four reds and a rosé, all Pinot Noir from three Russian River Valley vineyards, and past bottlings have included the Ceremonial Vineyard, a site planted by the Martinelli family.

The best way to buy is The George List, an annual membership where members reserve at least a case a year at 10% off with free ground shipping; the online shop sells the current vintage. There is no tasting room, so George does not receive visitors. The day below runs along Westside Road, ending at Moshin.

Tasting Fees

George does not offer tastings. On the day below, expect about $120 per person: $25 at Rochioli, $55 at Gary Farrell and $40 at Moshin.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
