Rutherford · Napa Valley
A small family estate on the Silverado Trail in Rutherford, formerly William Harrison Vineyards & Winery, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Bill Harrison bottled the first vintage under his own name here in 1993, as William Harrison Vineyards & Winery. Raised on his father's vineyard, he had earlier built a mobile bottling business, which taught him the craft from vine to bottle. He ran the estate for 32 years, and in late 2025, in his late 80s, he passed it on to a new generation of local owners.
The new owners are brothers Eddie and Perry Clark and their close friend Laura Long, who grew up in St. Helena near the river that runs behind the vineyards. They renamed the winery William Perry, after the Clark brothers' grandfather, in a name that also honors Bill Harrison. The estate sits on the Silverado Trail in the Rutherford AVA and still runs as a small, family-owned winery.
Visits are small and seated. The winery hosts a limited number of guests each day, and a host leads each tasting of its small-lot Napa Valley wines. The Discovery Tasting pours 2022 William Harrison wines that are poured only here. The owners are updating the property, so some areas may be closed on certain days.
$40 for the Discovery Tasting, about an hour (Monday to Thursday). $85 for The William Perry Experience, about 90 minutes (daily).
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
