Angwin · Napa Valley
Winemaker Michael Trujillo's small namesake label, four decades in the making, with tastings by appointment on Howell Mountain's Angwin side, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Michael Trujillo grew up on his family's multigenerational ranch in Colorado, driving hay trucks and branding cattle from a young age. He came to Napa Valley in 1982 on a spring break trip while studying engineering, and stayed to help Jim and Steve Allen plant Sequoia Grove's vineyard on the Rutherford Bench.
After four decades in Napa Valley winemaking, from vineyard work and irrigation to barrel selection and blending, he released his own namesake Cabernet Sauvignon, with a first vintage in 2011. He sources grapes from several Napa Valley vineyards and works closely with the growers; the range also includes reserve Cabernets, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and the Madelyn wines.
Trujillo has no public tasting room. Tastings are by appointment only, requested by phone or through the winery's form with preferred dates and times. The winery's address is in Angwin; we make the request on your behalf and confirm where the tasting is hosted and any fee.
Trujillo does not publish a tasting fee. The format and any fee are confirmed by the winery when the appointment is set.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
