A family winery rooted in faith, with a relaxed tasting room beside The Meritage Resort at the southern gateway to the valley, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
Tim and Steph Busch founded Trinitas Cellars in 2002 on three values: faith, family and friends. The name is Latin for Trinity. Two generations later the family still runs it, with the same warm, family-table hospitality, and the tasting room sits at the southern gateway to Napa Valley, steps from The Meritage Resort.
The Faith Collection sets Trinitas apart. It began with ratZINger, a Zinfandel honoring Pope Benedict XVI, and Cabernet FRANCis, made for Pope Francis and presented to him at the Vatican, and it now includes the Marian Series. Fruit comes from respected growers in Rutherford, Oak Knoll, Carneros, the Sonoma Coast and beyond, and the family aims for balanced wines true to each site.
The room is built for slowing down. Flights run from a bright sparkling and white lineup to a weekend-only reserve tasting with artisan cheese, and you can add seasonal bites or caviar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, and walk-ins are taken when there is room, which makes it an easy first or last stop for guests staying at the south end.
Starting at $45 for a sparkling, rosé and white flight; $55 for a seated tasting of signature varietals; $65 for limited releases and cellar selections; $150 for the weekend-only small-lot tasting with artisan cheeses.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
