A five-acre family vineyard at the base of Spring Mountain, where owner Donny Gallagher hosts tastings by phone appointment, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Don (Donny) and Dana Gallagher brought in their first harvest in 2000 from a five-acre vineyard in the St. Helena AVA at the base of Spring Mountain. The first release was about 400 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Merlot and a few blends followed, and later a century-old vine Zinfandel and a Sauvignon Blanc joined the lineup.
The wines are made by Kirk Venge, with the Gallaghers involved in everything from barrel selection to blending. In the early years Donny did much of the vineyard work himself; today Oscar Renteria of Renteria Vineyard Management farms the vines day to day while Donny oversees the details. Virtually every step of farming and winemaking is done by hand.
Trespass has no tasting room. Tastings are by appointment, made by calling Donny directly, so a visit is small and personal, with the people who grow and blend the wine. We arrange it on your behalf, confirm where you will taste and any fee, and build the rest of the day around Spring Mountain and the eastern hills.
Trespass does not publish a tasting fee. Any visit and its cost are confirmed by the winery when the appointment is made.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
