The Skalli family, winemakers in France, bought Dollarhide, a 1,500-acre cattle ranch in the mountains northeast of the valley, in 1982, and soon after added 56 acres in Rutherford. St. Supéry opened its doors on Highway 29 in 1989. In 2015 the family sold the estate to CHANEL, Inc., whose wine holdings include Château Canon and Château Rauzan-Ségla in Bordeaux.
Every bottle is 100% estate grown, from the Rutherford Estate and Dollarhide Estate vineyards, and both the land and the winery are certified Napa Green. The estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. CEO Emma Swain and Michael Scholz, who leads winemaking and vineyards with winemaker Brooke Shenk, have invested heavily in quality since 2009.
St. Supéry is a good place to slow down. Between tastings, guests wander the demonstration vineyard and gardens, and the winery's art gallery shows changing exhibitions. The chef's side of the estate is real too: there is more than an acre of culinary gardens and 1,200 heirloom fruit trees, and the Taste of the Estate pairing is served at the Chef's Table.
$46 for the White Wine Discovery or the Winemaker's Selection, four estate wines each, and $48 for Sip and Swirl Sundays. $75 for the Cabernet Collector's tasting of four Cabernets. $87 for the Harvest Live! Tour & Tasting, two hours at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. during harvest. $98 for Five Bordeaux Varietals with a cheese plate and $125 for the Cabernet Sauvignon Library Tasting. $145 for Taste of the Estate, a 90-minute wine and food pairing (Wednesday to Saturday, minimum 4).
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
