Vintner G.S. Sareen, an international entrepreneur from India with a passion for Bordeaux and Burgundy, found this place by chance while driving through Coombsville. He bought the 43-acre estate in 2012 and named it Rewa for his wife. The labels carry a pattern taken from a sword hilt that belonged to one of his ancestors, and the reserve wine is called Khanda.
The vineyard sits about 400 feet above sea level in the Coombsville AVA, the cool southeastern corner of the valley shaped by a volcano that erupted nine million years ago. The eastern slope has lake deposits with rare diatomite; the western slope is rocky alluvium suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Celia Welch directs winemaking, with winemaker Jess McDowell.
Visits are private tastings at the Coombsville estate, arranged with the winery by email. REWA values each estate tasting at $150 per person and includes them for wine club members and their guests. Guests get a hillside estate that few visitors ever see, and we confirm the time, format and any fee with the winery before your day.
REWA values its estate tasting at $150 per person; it is complimentary for wine club members and their guests. The fee for non-members is to be verified upon reservation.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
