Rutherford · Napa Valley
A purpose-driven winery on the Rutherford Bench, designed by Howard Backen, where a hosted tour runs from the fermentation room to the barrel cellar, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

ONEHOPE began in 2007 after a friend's cancer diagnosis, when co-founder Jake Kloberdanz decided giving back should be a core value, not a campaign. He and his partners started sourcing wine from Napa and Sonoma and selling it in Southern California. The company says it has donated more than $11 million to causes.
In 2014 ONEHOPE crowdfunded a vineyard on the Rutherford Bench. With plans by architect Howard Backen, ONEHOPE broke ground in 2018 and opened the winery, called Estate 8, in 2020. Backen's building blends modern lines with farmhouse warmth, and the terraces look across the vines to the mountains on both sides of the valley. Wines also come from celebrated vineyards across Napa and Sonoma.
Visits are hosted from grape to glass: the fermentation and barrel cellars, a wine library showcase and several tasting spaces. Pours range from a relaxed estate introduction to a Cabernet flight across Napa's AVAs and a chef-paired Wine and Bites. Guests often tell us the grounds are the highlight, so leave time for the terrace.
$45 for the Estate Introduction. $100 for the Iconic AVA Experience, four Cabernet Sauvignons with a curated board. $125 for the seasonal Harvest Picnic & Flight. $175 for Wine & Bites, signature wines with the winery chef's seasonal bites. Durations are not published; we plan about 75 minutes.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
