Renowned Bay Area chef Narsai David bought a vineyard in Oakville, and the first Narsai David Estates vintage from it was 2000. The label is now a revival led by his son Daniel David, the owner, with Venus David named as the family's muse. Bastien Lucas makes the wine, and Paul Garvey manages the vineyard.
The family describes its vineyard as being cultivated for Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. A new vineyard was planted in 2021, and the winery says its first vintage from the new planting is from 2025. It is a small producer focused on high-end wines.
The wines are sold through the winery's clubs and website, and there is no tasting room, address or appointment program. The day below stays in Oakville, at three estates that host.
Narsai David Estates does not offer tastings.
On the day below, The Silver Oak Tasting is $65, Robert Mondavi's Pioneer Tasting is $60 plus an 18% hospitality fee and the Saddleback tasting is $40.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
