Napa · Napa Valley
A family winery with Piedmont roots and a relaxed downtown Napa tasting room with a dog-friendly patio, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Michael Pozzan's wine roots go back to the late 1800s in Piedmont, Italy, where his great-grandfather planted vines, and in 1948 his grandfather planted 35 acres of Zinfandel near Healdsburg; some of those vines still stand at the end of Pozzan Road. In 1990, with the support of his wife Mary Ann, Michael left a sales job to make his own wine and released his first vintage in 1991.
The idea has always been wine for family moments: the winery says the pleasure of good wine is about the first sip taken with family or friends. It is still a family business, with Michael joined by his sons, Dante, who leads national sales, and Matthew, who works in winemaking and production. The range covers reds, whites and gift sets.
The tasting room sits on Randolph Street in the heart of downtown Napa, a warm, relaxed space the family calls Napa hospitality, Pozzan style. It is kid friendly, with a dog-friendly patio, and offers a Classic Tasting and a Reserve Tasting. Visits are by reservation only, Monday to Saturday, which suits an easygoing late-morning start.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. The winery offers a Classic Tasting and a Reserve Tasting but does not publish their prices.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
