Stewart Cellars is a multi-generational, family-owned and family-run winery that has been making wine since 2000. It focuses on vineyard-designate wines from Napa and Sonoma vineyards whose lineage traces back to the valley's early pioneers, with an emphasis on sustainable farming and minimal-intervention winemaking. The goal, in the winery's words, is wine that brings people together.
Its NOMAD Collection is the reason many guests come: Cabernet Sauvignons from Andy Beckstoffer's Heritage Vineyards, including Dr. Crane, Bourn, Las Piedras, To Kalon, Georges III and Missouri Hopper. The rest of the range runs from Brut Cuvée and Rosé to Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, many of them 90-plus-point wines.
The tasting room on Washington Street has a Tasting Hall, an outdoor Courtyard and a private NOMAD Library. The NOMAD Tasting, six Beckstoffer Heritage Cabernets side by side in the library with a cheese plate, is a rare chance to taste those famous vineyards together. Walk-ins are welcome, but we always reserve so your table is ready.
$45 for the Portfolio Tasting, four current releases, 60 minutes. $75 for the Wine & Cheese Experience, 75 minutes (Monday to Friday). $85 for the Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting of four single-vineyard Cabernets, including NOMAD. $150 for the NOMAD Tasting of six Beckstoffer Heritage Vineyard Cabernets with a cheese plate, 90 minutes.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
