About the Winery

Lost Valley Ranch sits in Wooden Valley, in the hills east of the city of Napa. Novelist Vingie Roe, who wrote western novels including several made into silent films, settled on the property in the 1920s and coined the name, because so many travelers lost their way coming over the hill from Napa. The ranch vineyard, Cordero Vineyards, was first planted in 2009.

Debra, who came to wine from a long career in sustainable architecture and holds a UC Davis winemaking certificate, owns and runs Lost Valley Ranch Wines, founded in 2023, and lives on the ranch with her partner Eric. Consulting winemaker Ivan trained at Crimean Agrotech University and came to Napa from Ukraine in 2022. The vines, at 500 to over 800 feet, include Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc.

This is a verified Napa Valley micro-producer through Save the Family Farms, certified sustainable through CSWA, and a visit is a gathering on a working ranch rather than a stop at a tasting bar. Guests request dates for a vineyard tasting, the T.A.S.T.E. experience, an aromatics workshop or yoga among the vines, and events take up to 35 guests. We send the request for you.
