Dr. Jan Krupp spent years honing his winemaking while running a busy medical practice in the Bay Area, then moved to Napa in 1991. With help from his brother Bart, he turned rugged land into what is now the Stagecoach Vineyard, and in 1999 the brothers released their first Krupp Brothers wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon.
Stagecoach rises to 1,900 feet in red, rocky volcanic soil, and the winery calls its fruit some of the most coveted in Napa Valley. From it the brothers make mountain-grown Chardonnay and Cabernets, Syrah and a Tempranillo blend. The winery sits at the foot of the Vaca Mountains just off the Silverado Trail, only a few minutes from downtown Napa.
At the estate, the Estate Tasting is a customized flight of five wines paired with artisanal cheese and charcuterie, offered three times a day. Dogs are welcome if you tell the winery ahead, which guests traveling with a pup appreciate. On weekends a Chef's Tasting pairs a farm-to-table menu with limited-production wines for groups of 6 to 10.
$75 for the Estate Tasting, five wines with cheese and charcuterie (daily at 10 a.m., 12:30 and 3 p.m.). $175 for the Chef's Tasting, a farm-to-table menu paired with limited-production wines (Friday to Sunday at 12:30 and 3 p.m., groups of 6 to 10). At the downtown tasting room: $45 for the Signature Tasting and $75 for the Reserve Tasting, each four wines with bites.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Good to Know
Dogs are welcome at the estate; let the winery know in advance. Your card is not charged until the tasting, and fees are waived with a minimum purchase. The Chef's Tasting needs at least 3 days' notice. Ages and group size for the Estate Tasting are confirmed when we book.
Pickup at 9:45 a.m. from a nearby hotel such as Milliken Creek Inn or Andaz Napa.
The estate's first seating is at 10, so we pick up at 9:45. Milliken Creek Inn, on the river along the Silverado Trail, is about 7 minutes from the winery, and Andaz Napa, a boutique hotel in downtown Napa, about 12. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
The Estate Tasting, five wines with cheese and charcuterie ($75); the winery does not list a length, so we plan about 75 minutes. Bring the dog if you like; just tell us when you book.
About 18 minutes away. A Coombsville estate where you taste on the Grand Terrace, with sweeping views of vineyards, gardens and the rolling hills. Wine Tasting on the Grand Terrace is $95 with a cheese and charcuterie board, about 90 minutes, for parties of 1 to 8. By reservation.
About 12 minutes away. Tapas and paella at Zuzu on Main Street in downtown Napa, open daily from noon. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. An intimate, seated room in Yountville devoted to hillside and mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, where the Classic Experience compares wines from small blocks side by side. $75 (waived with a $100 purchase per person); we allow about an hour. Daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., by appointment only.
Back by about 3:40 p.m., within six hours of pickup.
About $245 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting. The fourth stop is there if the day allows.
Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
