Yountville · Napa Valley
A Yountville Cabernet made by Thomas Rivers Brown for three old friends, chef Thomas Keller among them, once poured only in their restaurants. KHK does not receive visitors; here is what to know, and a day at sought-after estates nearby that do host.

KHK is a vineyard partnership between fourth-generation Napan Jim Keller, chef Thomas Keller (no relation), who lends his palate and guidance, and the Hall family of Hall's Chophouse. Founded in 2021, it grew from about 100 cases to nearly 2,000 by 2023. For its first years the wine was sold only in a handful of the partners' restaurants around the country.
The Cabernet comes mainly from a Yountville vineyard farmed by the Bettinelli family, with fruit from the Shifflett vineyard just south of town, and is made by Thomas Rivers Brown. The goal is a classic Napa Cabernet priced at $79. In January 2026 KHK bought the 144-acre Trubody Ranch in the Oak Knoll District, settled in the 1860s, and plans to replant about 122 acres.
Since the 2023 vintage a small amount has been sold directly through the website, alongside the restaurant placements. KHK lists only a post office box and publishes no tasting room or visiting program, so it does not receive visitors. The day below takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do.
KHK does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Since KHK does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. North Block Hotel, a boutique hotel in Yountville, and Hotel Yountville, a small hotel at the north end of town, are each about 25 minutes from the first stop on Mount Veeder. The day fits about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 25 minutes away. Steep Mount Veeder terraces above 1,200 feet, farmed by the Yates family since 1949. A private visit arranged with the family; we plan about 75 minutes, and any fee is confirmed when the visit is set.
About 25 minutes away. A downtown Yountville tasting lounge for wines from a historic ranch in the eastern hills, known for its food pairings. The Bacon and Wine Experience matches four cuts of pork belly with estate wines for $85; Taste the Terroir, with chocolate truffles, is $65. We plan about an hour. Open daily from noon (11 a.m. Friday and Saturday).
About 6 minutes away. Lunch at Brix on Highway 29 near Yountville, a sit-down restaurant beside its own gardens and vineyard, serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. (closed Tuesday). Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. A two-generation family winery on the Silverado Trail where guests can blend, bottle and label their own wine. Seated Terrace Tastings among the vines are $45 to $65 by flight, about an hour. By appointment, Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Back by about 3:55 p.m., about six hours after pickup.
About $110 to $150 per person for Priest Ranch and Judd's Hill, plus the Yates fee, which is confirmed when the visit is set.
Judd's Hill hosts Friday to Sunday, so this is a weekend plan. Yates hosts by private request, so we ask early. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
