Napa · Napa Valley
Golf champion and sommelier Cristie Kerr's boutique winery, with wines by Helen Keplinger poured in a chic downtown Napa tasting lounge, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Cristie Kerr, the professional golfer, first fell for Napa Valley in 2000 while playing a tournament in Vallejo. In 2006 she created Curvature Wines with Suzanne Pride Bryan of Pride Mountain Vineyards to raise money for breast cancer research, and in 2013 she founded Kerr Cellars with partner Erik Stevens and winemaker Helen Keplinger. Wine Spectator named it a winery to watch in its first three years.
Kerr works as a négociant, buying grapes from top private vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County, such as Beckstoffer Georges III, Stagecoach, Mast Ranch and Wappo. Keplinger, named Winemaker of the Year for 2023 by Vinous, makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and blends in classic styles inspired by Bordeaux and Burgundy.
Tastings are small-group or one-on-one in the downtown Napa lounge, at the bar, high tops, tables or outside. Four seated tastings step up from an introductory flight of the current appellation wines to single-vineyard Cabernets and limited reserve wines, so it is easy to match the visit to your group. The lounge also hosts private events through the year.
$50 for the Introductory Tasting of four current appellation wines. $75 for the Terroir Tasting of single-vineyard wines. $95 for the Vintner's Select Tasting of limited reserve wines. $120 for For the Love of Red, a Cabernet Sauvignon tasting. Durations are not published; we plan about an hour.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Good to Know
Tastings on Tock take parties of 1 to 11. Age and pet policies are not published. The Champions Club is the wine club.
Pickup at 10:00 a.m. from a nearby hotel such as Andaz Napa or Napa River Inn.
Andaz Napa, a boutique Hyatt hotel in downtown Napa, is about 5 minutes from the lounge, and Napa River Inn, a historic inn in the Napa Mill on the riverfront, about 5 minutes away. We book the first morning slot Kerr offers on Tock. The day below fits about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
The Terroir Tasting ($75) or another of the four seated tastings ($50 to $120); we plan about an hour.
About 12 minutes away. A Cabernet house with a mountaintop vineyard on Atlas Peak, hosting a tour of its Base Camp on the Silverado Trail and a seated tasting of the estate Cabernets with paired cheeses, about 90 minutes. By reservation, mainly for allocation members; the fee is confirmed when we book.
About 12 minutes away. Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni, an Italian restaurant among the vineyards on Howard Lane, a valley favorite for more than 30 years, open daily from 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. A young family winery in Napa's Crusher District, where each party gets its own private tasting area. The Private Tasting is $65, waived with a purchase of three bottles; we plan about an hour. By reservation request, seven days a week.
Back by about 3:50 p.m., within six hours of pickup.
About $115 to $185 per person for Kerr Cellars and Kubani, plus Seven Apart's fee, which is confirmed when we book.
Kerr's tasting times are set on Tock, so we confirm the first slot when we book. Seven Apart hosts mainly allocation members; if it is not available we suggest another Silverado Trail estate. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
