Bowker Family Wine is a family of six, the second generation to tend Mink Vineyard, planted in 1995 by the family's "Grandpa Billy Mink" in the heart of Coombsville, just east of the town of Napa. To prepare for running the vineyard and making its wine, the family lived and learned viticulture and winemaking in Priorat, in Catalonia, and in Burgundy.
The vines are Pinot Noir, a rarity in Napa, on a volcanic site that marine breezes make one of the coolest in the valley. The family farms sustainably and works in the vineyard itself. Production is tiny: eleven barrels of the 2024 Mink Vineyard Pinot Noir, and a single barrel of foot-crushed rosé from 2025, picked by family and friends and bottled with no added sulfur.
There is no tasting room. The family invites anyone who wants to taste the wines in Napa to send a request through its website, and someone gets in touch to schedule a visit. We make the request on your behalf. It is a small, personal stop with a family that farms its own vines, and a rare chance to taste Coombsville Pinot Noir.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. Bowker Family Wine does not publish a fee.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
