Crystal Springs of Napa Valley
A family estate in the hills east of St. Helena, where one winemaking family has grown and bottled its own Cabernet on land held since the 1950s, visited by appointment request, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Arns is a small family winery on land the Arns family acquired in the late 1950s. John Arns farms the vineyard, and Sandi Belcher is co-owner and winemaker, with Kathi Belcher Tyler as assistant winemaker. The winery was established in 1990, and the first release was the 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon.
The estate is a 160-acre parcel about 800 feet above the valley floor, in the hills east of St. Helena, in the Crystal Springs of Napa Valley AVA. Ten acres are planted at about 2,900 vines per acre, with seven clones of Cabernet Sauvignon on gravelly loam soils. Organic practices and minimal irrigation keep yields low and the fruit concentrated, and the Cabernet is grown, made and bottled on the property.
This is a quiet, family-run place rather than a showroom. Visits are requested through the winery's website, and the family confirms the day and time. The road up is part of the experience, with the hills all around. We make the request on your behalf and build the rest of the day around the time the family gives us.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
