About the Winery
Thumbprint Cellars is a family-owned winery founded by Scott and Erica Lindstrom-Dake, with Scott as winemaker. The winery says it has been making Sonoma County wines since 2000, in small lots with what it calls big personality. It opened its first tasting room in downtown Healdsburg in 2004 and moved to Healdsburg Plaza in 2009.
Wines noted by Sonoma Magazine include the Ramazzotti Vineyard Cabernet Franc, a Teldeschi Vineyard Valdiguié, the Climax red blend and an Alexander Valley Bordeaux blend that scored 99 points at the 2021 San Francisco International Wine Competition. The winery also makes Sculptured Cellars wines, led by Scott.
The Healdsburg tasting room closed in February 2025, and the website says Thumbprint is in transition to its winery in Geyserville, near the Lytton Springs exit off Highway 101, with a focus on wine club experiences. No public tasting hours are published. The wines are sold online and through the Harvest Wine Club. The day below stays around Geyserville and northern Dry Creek Valley.

About 15 minutes away. Four generations of one family on the hills above Geyserville since 1927. A seated tasting of one of three flights is $25 to $35; we plan about an hour. Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m., Monday from noon; last seating at 3:30 p.m.
