About the Winery

Thirty-Seven Wines is the label of vintners Al and Lisa Brayton, who launched the winery in 2007. Al first noticed Paradise Vineyards from a for-sale sign he passed on his commute; today the couple manage about 140 acres of vineyard there, planted to more than a dozen varieties on rolling hillsides in the Petaluma Gap. The name comes from the thirty-seven interlocking circles of the Flower of Life, a symbol the winery uses for the connection between the land, its people and its community.

Every wine is estate grown and made in small lots by Shane Finley, who joined in 2012 after cellar work at Copain, Torbreck in the Barossa Valley and Domaine Pierre Gaillard in the northern Rhône. Wine Enthusiast has scored the Pinot Noir, Reserve Pinot Noir, Riesling and Reserve Petit Verdot between 91 and 94 points.

There is no tasting room at the vineyard. Instead, the winery sends visitors to Region at The Barlow in Sebastopol, a wine bar with more than 50 Sonoma County wines on self-service WineStation machines, plus hand-poured bottle service, and food delivered from Barlow restaurants. It is a relaxed way to taste Thirty-Seven alongside other local producers. We confirm current details when we book.
