Super Sonoman began with one goal, as the winery puts it: to make the best Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County has ever produced. The first grapes were harvested in October 2003 from a series of small vineyards on the slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains above the Russian River Valley, at 900 to 1,500 feet, mostly above the fog. The 2003 vintage sold out within a few months.
Ten years later the family added the TADDEI Wine label for fruit from vineyards beyond Sonoma County, including leased estate vineyards in Napa. Today most of the production is bottled as TADDEI, and the Super Sonoman name is kept for special blends made only from Sonoma County fruit.
In 2018 the family built out its own winery in the beverage district of Windsor, and 2019 was its first harvest there. The website invites guests to visit the tasting room in Windsor and to contact the winery directly for private tastings, so we arrange the visit with the winery and confirm the details when we book.
Super Sonoman does not publish a tasting fee for its private tastings. The fee is confirmed when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
