About the Winery

Reynoso Family Vineyards was built by Joe Reynoso, the oldest of 15 children of Amado Reynoso, a migrant farm worker in California's Central Valley. Working as a piano mover in the Bay Area in 1980, Joe first saw the vineyards of Napa Valley and decided he would one day own one. In 1994 he bought a remote 550-acre estate in Alexander Valley, and the family is now in its third generation there.

The family farms 155 of the 550 acres and sells most of its grapes to Sonoma wineries, keeping a small share of the best for its own estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, made with minimal intervention. Joe Reynoso is proprietor, Elena Reynoso is vintner, and Margarito Valencia manages the vineyard.

There is no tasting room. The wines are sold through the winery's online shop and mailing list. The day below goes up Alexander Valley toward Cloverdale and Geyserville, near the family's ranch, with three estates that host.

Tasting Fees

Reynoso Family Vineyards does not offer tastings.

The day below runs about $120 per person in tasting fees at Blue Rock, Zialena and Pech Merle.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
