Prinsley is the family-owned, women-owned wine and hospitality company of Kim Ilsley Prince and Rea Prince, founded in 2019 shortly after they married; the name joins Ilsley and Prince. Kim is a fourth-generation Napa Valley native from a grape-growing family with roots in Yountville and the Stags Leap District, and leads the company's creative direction, hospitality and gifting. Rea, the winemaker, trained and worked in Italy, France, Israel, New Zealand and California, and works in regenerative viticulture and soil biology.
The first wine came from Lovers Lane in Yountville. Since then Prinsley has sourced from vineyards across Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino, favoring organically and regeneratively farmed fruit and a light hand in the cellar. Current releases include a 2023 Grenache from the Emmitt-Scorsone Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral French oak ($74), and Pinot Noir and Rosé of Syrah from Alder Springs Vineyard in Mendocino County. In 2026 Prinsley begins making wine from Kim's grandmother's Yountville vineyard for the first time.
Prinsley does not operate a public tasting room. The wines are sold through the online shop and the Prinsley Wine Club, and the couple host private tastings, blending workshops and gatherings by appointment at partner and private venues. The day below covers the north end of Sonoma County, from Alexander Valley to Dry Creek Valley, where Prinsley's Grenache is grown.
Prinsley has no public tastings or published fees; private tastings are arranged by appointment. On the day below, Robert Young's Estate Flight is $50, the Classic Patio Tasting at Pech Merle is $15, and Trattore Farms confirms its flight fee when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
