About the Winery

Las Jaras Wines is made by Joel Burt and Eric Wareheim, who aim for wines with energy and balance, vibrant and food friendly, made with minimal intervention so each vineyard shows through. The range runs from sparkling wine, rosé and a chilled red called Glou Glou to Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a Sweet Berry Wine that, in the winemakers' words, demands explanation.

Much of the fruit comes from beyond Sonoma County. The Chenin Blancs come from the Junius Vineyard on the Talmage Bench in Mendocino County, the Pinot Noir from the La Belle Promenade Vineyard in Oregon since 2018, and other wines from vineyards such as Ricetti, Venturi and the certified organic Love Ranch. The site credits the artists behind its labels, and the fall 2026 release runs from about $25 to $68 a bottle.

Las Jaras lists a mailing address on First Street West in Sonoma and no tasting room, so it does not receive visitors. The wines are sold online, through a wine club and by shops and restaurants listed on its Purveyors page. The day below stays around the town of Sonoma, at three estates that do host.

Tasting Fees

Las Jaras does not offer tastings. On the day below, the tasting fees are $85 at Three Sticks, $45 at Gundlach Bundschu and $60 at Ram's Gate, about $190 per person in all, paid directly to each winery.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
