Krueger Vaught makes Pinot Noir from the maritime corridor of the West Sonoma Coast AVA. Founder and winemaker Balm Krueger has focused on Pinot Noir for more than a decade, working harvests at Sonoma County estates including Kosta Browne, Williams Selyem, Rochioli and Bohème. Co-founder Tacoma Vaught runs operations and strategy and stays close to the vineyard and cellar.
Each vineyard is chosen for its farming, quality and potential, and the wines are unfined and unfiltered. There are two bottlings: the Krueger Vaught Pinot Noir (65 cases in 2023) and Balm, a free-run, whole-cluster Pinot Noir aged in mostly new French oak (26 cases in 2023). James Suckling rated the 2023 and 2022 of both, and the 2021 Krueger Vaught, at 94 points.
There is no tasting room. The wines are sold through the members' store on kruegervaught.com, and the winery lists only an email address and phone number. The day below stays in west Sonoma County, where Krueger Vaught is based, with three estates known for coastal Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Krueger Vaught does not offer tastings.
The day below runs about $140 per person in tasting fees at Littorai, Iron Horse and Dutton-Goldfield.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
