About the Winery

Honrama Cellars is named for Honorio Ramirez Mata, who came to Napa Valley from Mexico and worked his way from the vineyards to the cellar at Caymus Vineyards. The name combines the first letters of his three names. His daughter Miriam and her husband, Juan Puentes, founded the winery in 2008 to carry on his dream of a family label.

Juan learned the trade in cellars and at Napa Valley College, and the first vintage was 500 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. The lineup has grown to include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Paula's Rosé, and the family has since planted its own vines on North Kelly Road in Napa.

The tasting room is across the county line in the Carneros, at the Heirs of My Dreams complex on Burndale Road, a few doors from Ceja Vineyards. Guests taste at a western-style bar or on a patio with tables and umbrellas, and the visit is a relaxed private tasting of 60 to 90 minutes. We confirm current details when we book.

Tasting Fees

Honrama does not publish its tasting fees. The Seated Tasting and the Tour and Barrel Tasting are booked on Tock, and the fee is confirmed when we book.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
