The Guadagni family has farmed in Dry Creek Valley since the late 1800s, when Raffaelo Guadagni arrived from Italy and settled in the upper part of the valley with a dream of making wine from his own grapes. His son Fred moved onto the family's current property in 1941, and the Guadagnis have been there ever since. Third-generation proprietors Don and Mary Guadagni now work alongside the fourth generation: winemaker Bill Guadagni, his wife Danielle, who runs marketing and the wine club, and Breanna Guadagni Medel.
All of the red wines except the Grenache come from grapes grown on the family property, and the white wine, the Rosé and the Grenache come from another longtime Dry Creek farming family. The range includes the 1906 Block Zinfandel, a Heritage Zinfandel, an Old Clone Petite Sirah and the Raffaelo Merlot, named for the family's founder. The family is working through permits to build its own tasting room and production facility on the property.
For now, a visit is a private, seated tasting among the vines on the historic family ranch, hosted by a member of the family. You taste a full flight of the wines with small snacks and hear the stories behind each one, which makes it one of the most personal appointments in the valley.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. The private tasting includes a full flight of Guadagni wines, a seated vineyard setting, a family host and small snacks.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
