Emme Wines is the label of Rosalind Reynolds, who farms grapes organically and makes wine without additives. She set out to make something of her own in 2018, working within a community of grape growers and winemakers in Northern California, and named the label for her grandmother Emme, who loved local, organic produce and rich Napa Chardonnay.
The wines are fresh and bright, and each carries a playful name: the 2025 Skin Contact Colombard ('tell your sister i say hi'), Carignan ('for you, anything'), Zinfandel, Grenache, Syrah and Chardonnay, and a 2024 Merlot ('it's not a phase'), at $28 to $36 a bottle. Emme has been covered by Edible San Francisco, which wrote about its 2019 "Sally" Carignan from Ricetti Vineyard, and by Punch.
Emme sells through its online shop and mailing list, and its winery license is in Sebastopol. There is no tasting room or visit program, so it does not receive visitors. The day below stays around Sebastopol, with two small, farming-focused wineries and an urban winery at The Barlow.
Emme does not offer tastings. On the day below, expect about $105 per person at Dutton-Goldfield ($35) and Littorai ($70), plus the Pax flight you choose from its menu, or $95 for the Pax Private Tasting & Cellar Tour.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
